Cheese & Veggie Topped Crackers make for a great go-to snack options!
As summer draws near, we end up having cookouts and friends over frequently. Of course, part of having friends and family over means I am usually making up some delicious foods. One thing we love to do is have a fun little appetizer ready in case dinner is still cooking. The hard part is we have several in our family now that are gluten-free including myself.
That means, I need to come up with gluten-free appetizers and foods in general. I’ve always loved the idea of topping crackers with a delicious mix to serve as an appetizer; however, finding gluten free crackers that really taste good can sometimes be a challenge.
I was recently introduced to Breton Gluten-Free Crackers and my world changed. Yes, that may seem extreme but seriously…they have different flavors and they are SO good. They taste like the real deal, that makes life even better.
These crackers can cover all your needs from simple snacking to elegant dining. They are also certified gluten free by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness Gluten Free Certification Program.
They have a black bean & white bean flavor that would pair wonderfully with a tasty chili and also an original and herb & garlic variety.
I decided to make a Tossed Cheese & Veggie Mixture to top over both the original variety and the herb & garlic. The result? Perfect appetizer for hungry guests!
I tossed Greek olives along with chunks of cheese, sliced sweet peppers, tomato, and garlic along with olive oil. Once I had the mixture tossed well, I simply topped each cracker with it and placed it on a pretty white platter to serve to guest.
This was by far one of my favorite appetizers and it’s no-bake plus simple to prepare.

Cheese & Veggie Topped Crackers
- 1/2 Cup Extra Sharp White Cheddar Cheese Cut into Chunks
- 1/2 Cup Greek Olives
- 1 Tomato Diced
- 1 Cup Sweet Peppers Sliced
- 1 Clove Garlic Crushed
- 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Breton Gluten-Free Crackers
- Parsley to Garnish
- In a medium sized bowl, mix the cheese, olives, tomato, and sweet peppers together, then mix in the garlic and olive oil.
- Serve topped over the crackers and garnish with parsley.
