Celebrating Aunts and Uncles Day with TCBY

Did you know there is a National Aunt and Uncle Day?  I just found out!  So, in honor of it, we had a TCBY Celebration!  My son surprised his aunt with her favorite English Toffee Crunch TCBY then we had our party!  He was so excited to give her the TCBY, and he was also happy to get all the kids together so that we could enjoy some ice cream before she had to get on her way.

Before we had our party, I headed out to Walmart to pick up all the TCBY goodies that I needed to celebrate with!  Of course, first I stopped and picked up the TCBY in the Frozen Yogurt area, then I had decisions to make!  I knew for sure English Toffee Crunch was first on the list because that is Aunt Sarah’s favorite!  Next, I went with Strawberry and then some popsicles.

There are several things I love about TCBY one is that they clearly put the calories right on the front of the carton.  That makes it easy for me to figure out what I can have and what I should avoid!

Once I had my Frozen Yogurt, I loaded up my cart with more ingredients to send Aunt Sarah home with dinner too, to find out more on my shopping trip head on over to my Google + Story.

Once we got home, I set it all up including the toppings.  What is the first topping on my list?  Sprinkles of course!  We enjoyed it on an afternoon that I had been babysitting and the kids had just woke up from naps.  It was perfect timing!  They napped so good I was even able to get dinner made for Aunt Sarah in peace!  Uncle Eric was at work so he missed our party, but we sent her home with plenty of TCBY to share.  I’m not so sure though if she shared it or not!  She does love her English Toffee Crunch!

I guess it’s the hot weather, but our frozen yogurt was melting quickly so we had to put some up before our picture.  Apparently when it’s over 110* outside the heat filters in!  We quickly served our frozen yogurt though topped it with our favorite toppings including chocolate and sprinkles then had some family time and a nice break from the busy day.  My husband and I felt like it was a great way to celebrate because we are aunts and uncles too so we all got to join in on the fun!
