Make a festive cake for the season with this Caramel Apple Cake.
Do you ever just feel the NEED for cake? I had that moment the other day, honestly, it probably wasn’t a need because truthfully I’m really trying to slim down, not up…but sometimes we all need a little slice of cake.
Life has been super busy for us lately and a little overwhelming at times, and a slice of cake just makes it better, right?
Have you noticed how simple it is to make a variety of different cakes with a simple pie filling? I decided to add a Caramel Apple Pie Filling to a Gluten-Free Yellow Cake Mix, minutes later we had this delicious Caramel Apple Cake!
Now, wouldn’t your co-workers enjoy seeing this on a long day?
I sure think so! My family enjoyed seeing it when they got home from work and school, plus my son is always ecstatic when he realizes it’s gluten-free.
Now, of course, you can use a regular cake mix too, so don’t let that stop you.
Once we had our cake cooled, I topped it with whipped topping and added a lovely caramel drizzle. That is fall perfection in cake form and it is so easy to make too.
Now, as we are working on homework, it’s easy to enjoy a slice of cake too because let’s face it the afternoons go so much better when a cake is involved, or well maybe sometimes they do!
I’m still trying to get this balancing act down with homework now regularly entering our lives and then my daughter is so much more active now.
I’ve decided to be a mom and having kids is constantly a balancing act, as soon as I think we are in the groove, something changes and we are starting back over again.
Anyone else feels that way? That’s how I felt the day I made this cake, and I’ll just say it really brightened my day to enjoy a slice because it was quite a day!
Enjoy!

You had me at caramel! I have a major sweet tooth and caramel is always a favorite! This cake would be perfect for those cool crisp days with a cup of hot chocolate! Now if only it would hurry up and get cooler down here in florida.
Loving the addition of the caramel apple filling to this!! It sounds amazing. I bet there’s a taste of fall in every single bite. Delicious!
Extra whipped cream for me please! You make this look festive and delicious. I typically stray away from caramel treats, but combined with apple or chocolate and I’m sold. I would probably serve this with coffee or hot cocoa. Thanks!
