I ask a few weeks back what some of your favorite summer drinks are and one of the top picks was Sweet Tea! I have to say I completely agree, I love sweet tea. It’s such a delightful, refreshing drink in the summer. Since I’m pregnant now, I try to limit my caffeine, but I have allowed myself a little pick me up each afternoon with a glass of sweet tea.
Today, I headed over to Walmart to pick up some tea for my afternoon treat, plus a little ‘me’ time, to see my complete trip head over to my Google +. Do you get purposefully plan out a little ‘me’ time in your day?
While at Walmart, I carefully looked through all the different Bigelow products. I found a few new ones that I am anxious to try, plus some that I have in my pantry regularly!
The Bigelow Green Tea is always in my pantry, as it is my go to for times when I’m sick. I always feel like a little green tea and honey makes me feel so much better when I have a cold or flu!
I’m anxious to try the Red Raspberry. I love raspberry tea, but this was the first time I saw this product at my local Walmart.
The last one on my list to try is this Vanilla Chai. I absolutely love chai tea, it’s one of my drinks of choice when I’m at a coffee shop! I make it at home regularly too, so this one is definitely on my list.
While I had many to choose from, I decided on English Teatime plus I picked up a watermelon too. I thought a little sweet tea and watermelon sounded delightful for today’s ‘me’ time.
Now, back to the question, do you get regular ‘me’ time? I’m sure some of you are thinking ‘yeah right’. I think it’s vital though, I know it is for me.
For me, I feel like I need at least 10-15 minutes by myself to recollect myself. I feel like getting this little break in my day makes me a better wife and a better mom. It just takes a few minutes of quiet, and I feel rejuvenated! Typically, my ‘me’ time is during my son’s nap. Usually his nap times mean work for me, I am most likely working on this site or other jobs that I have. I make sure though to give myself at least 15 minutes of that nap to just rest.
Today, I sat down with my sweet tea plus a juicy slice of watermelon and enjoyed the sunshine on my front porch. I typically always spend my ‘me’ time on the front porch. Even when we are in the middle of Oklahoma heat it always seems nice and cool there and peaceful.
Now, it’s time put down the phones and step away from the computer. Go outside with a big glass of sweet tea and breath in the fresh air by yourself and enjoy having a few quiet minutes of your day!

I think I need to start having my own little afternoon tea each day. It just seems like such a relaxing (and necessary) thing to do.
That looks so relaxing and refreshing. I don’t think I’ve ever tried Bigelow tea. Might have to check it out!
