Make a Mother’s Day Flower Planter! This is a great gift for mom.
Are you gearing up for mother’s day? I am! I LOVE Mother’s Day, and that isn’t just because I am a mom; however, that is a nice perk. I absolutely love to thank the moms in our lives.
Most of us all have that mom figure in our life that truly spoke into our lives and helped us become who we are today. For me, that included several amazing women, but most importantly my own mother.
As my kids and I were shopping around Walmart recently we spotted the One-Stop Shop with American Greetings products. This little shop was amazing, my son was going crazy picking out cards for every mom and grandma in our lives. I had to pull in the reigns a bit for him.
As we were looking at all the cards, I started to get inspired by all the flowers on the cards. Then, I thought I would try a little craft project that I had seen a while back.
How to Make a Fingerprint Planter for Mom?
My son did this same project when he was around age 2 at preschool, but I knew we could do it at home too.
What do you Need?
It’s very simple, all you need is a clay pot and acrylic paint, plus cute little kid hands.
How to Make it?
I simply placed their hands in different colors of paint, then we made flowers and butterflies on the pot.
I used my son’s hands for the flowers and attempted the butterflies with my daughter.
She ended up going finger paint crazy and just doing random paint.
At first, I had envisioned these simply PERFECT then I had the realization I’m working with a toddler and 5 year old.
This will be absolutely perfect for the moms in our lives though.
I would have loved to keep one myself!
Once we were done, we picked out a pretty flower to plant in the planter, then it was time to bless grandma with it.
My mom absolutely loved it, she’s an avid flower lover, so this is going to be perfect for her flower garden.

I love this craft project. I think I’ll have to try it with my son for my stepmom this year! #client
