One of my long time dreams is breakfast parties with just the girls after the kids are at school. Sounds like bliss, doesn’t it? I think it’s something I long for, girl time.
That uninterrupted adult time to just unwind with my girlfriends before getting back to the daily grind. As I thought this through, I started to think up a few easy breakfast ideas that would be perfect for breakfast with the girls.
How to host a breakfast party or brunch?
My sister and I have actually been talking about doing a party like this for months now, so I am ready to make this a regular occurrence.
I am thinking possibly once a month, having all my mom friends over who can come just after the kids go to school to catch up and refresh. I think it’s healthy for us as moms to get that time.
We have to be 100% ready for our family ALL the time and in order to do that, we also have to have a little time to ourselves too.
As I was shopping at Walmart, I spotted the new Pepperidge Farm Sweet Rolls. They come in a variety of flavors like Apple Cinnamon, Pecan Swirl, and Cherry.
As I was looking over those, I also noticed chocolate filled crescent rolls. They are so affordable that I ended up picking up one of each flavor.
Next, I wanted to be sure my table covered all types of foods, so I added sausage biscuits, fruit and fruit dip, bagels, and eggs. I originally planned to make an egg and spinach bowl, then I decided to place the eggs on the table as an option.
Then, if a guest wanted eggs or an omelet, I had the griddle heated up in the kitchen to make them one. I decided this option was better since that would keep them nice and warm for guests.
How to make a Berry Orange Smoothie?
Along with my array of food, I also wanted a good variety of drinks. I was able to use a $1 off coupon that is located at Walmart to get the Florida Orange Juice.
The coupon is on a tear pad near the orange juice while supplies last. I decided to make a Berry Orange Smoothie with the orange juice.
I added blueberries, raspberries, Greek vanilla yogurt, and orange juice to the blender with ice and mixed it up to make a delicious smoothie.
This smoothie hit the spot. I even found these adorable glasses to serve them in.
Of course, I also served coffee because that is just necessary with breakfast especially on cold days! I was pretty excited to even have my little cow creamer container make an appearance too.
I wanted this party to be light and fresh colors. I decided the main decor pieces would be fresh flowers that I arranged in my old fashioned milk bottles.
How beautiful are these? Some of my favorite party items are old antiques that we have around our home or that I find on my thrift excursions.
Our party is all set and ready to go, now it’s time to make this a regular monthly occurrence because it is refreshing and wonderful to interact with friends especially over delicious food!
Are you ready to warm up your day? Head on over to Walmart to pick up all these goodies for your party!
