Barbecue Chicken Skewers are a great option for dinner with a crowd!
One of our all-time favorite foods to serve a crowd is Barbecue Chicken Skewers. These skewers are perfect served right on a skewer stick making them easy to eat and serve.
Tips for Making Barbecue Chicken Skewers:
First, be sure to use boneless, skinless chicken thighs. Once you have the chicken out and ready, I suggest cutting it in half lengthwise, this way it’s easy to fit on the skewer stick.
It also gives you more servings too, so it’s simple to get 12 servings which is great if you are serving these for a party. That means most likely you have other foods served with it.
Once you slide the chicken onto the skewer stick, coat them with the barbecue sauce of your preference and seasoning.
Is there gluten-free barbecue sauce and seasonings?
Yes, we use Head Country Barbecue Sauce and Seasonings regularly because they are gluten-free. The seasonings are too. That makes it an easy choice plus they really have a wonderful flavor.
Can barbecue chicken skewers be prepped ahead?
They can be prepped ahead and left in the fridge until ready to serve. Honestly, the longer you marinate them in the sauce and seasonings the better flavor they have. I would suggest waiting to put them on the skewer sticks until right before cooking unless you are using metal skewer sticks.
If you are using wooden sticks, I’d wait just so the sticks do not get soft.
