Just in time for the summer sunshine, start your morning with a Banana Orange Smoothie!

Are you ready for summer? I can honestly say that I’m beyond ready! We are in our first full week of summer vacation and right now, it’s almost like we are in reset mode.
We are trying to just adjust between being constantly on the go to putting the brakes on and enjoying a more calm morning and daily routine.
It seems like it takes a few weeks for my kids to get in the groove of being around each other 24/7 again, then once they get all the arguing out of them, it’s calm and peaceful at our house.
I’m looking forward to that! In the meantime though, I’m going to enjoy my Banana Orange Smoothie and soak up a few moments outside on the porch as the sun comes up.
I’ve mentioned in the past that we’ve started to add Metamucil to our morning smoothies to help better our own wellness. That may just be my favorite part about summer…the slow down. We soak up the sun all day long and stay up late, then we sleep in a bit and enjoy our mornings. It’s nice to linger longer, isn’t it?

Banana Orange Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 Large Orange
- 1 Medium Sized Banana
- 1 Cup Greek Vanilla Yogurt
- Metamucil-Free
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, adding in the correct dosage of Metamucil per the instructions on the container.
- Mix well, serve over ice or chilled.
