I thought I would share this recipe to get you started this week! I mentioned last week that I found several great smoothie recipes on Cooking Light. I was anxious to start trying them because I need some healthy morning drinks to start my day with.
I love that with smoothies they can easily be frozen so that you can drink them throughout the week. I typically use these Ball freezer storage cups to store my smoothies. When I am getting ready in the mornings, I sit one out and it’s typically ready to go by the time I am on my way to my destination or when I get there. I have always used the 8oz Ball Containers; however, I was excited to find a 16oz version at my grocery store this past week. The link shows you them on Amazon; however, at Walmart I can find them for $2-3, much cheaper there.
For the breakfast smoothie recipe, I adapted it a bit from the original based on some of the reviews on it. It did have a strong kick of banana but it was good and filling!
Enjoy this healthy morning start!

“Mocha” implies coffee… is there really supposed to be no coffee in this recipe or did it get overlooked? Just wondering, since I’m trying to figure out the calorie count! 🙂
This one was adapted from Cooking Light and Mocha was for Chocolate according to their recipe. Here is the original link and it has a calorie count on the right side as well. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/banana-breakfast-smoothie-10000001981739/
In saying that though…adding coffee to it would just make it even better! 🙂
you’re awesome and fast, thanks for that. I appreciate it!
