Are you ready for Back to School season? Ready or not it is here and I’m getting ready for it by adding this fun SkinnyPop Popcorn treat to my kids’ lunches!
It’s here! Back to School season is here, are you ready for it yet? My kids start school THURSDAY! Now, although I should say I’m super sad, I’m not. Is that bad? I’m SO ready for routine again. I am sad that summer is coming to a close for us, but we had a great summer. Now, I’m ready for some consistency in our schedule and for my work hours to move back to normal people hours again would be so great. In the midst of that though, I’m also back to packing lunches each day.
Do you pack lunches daily for your kids? My daughter is in preschool where hot lunches are not an option, so I always have to make hers. Then, my son eats primarily gluten-free so I have to opt out of hot lunches for him too. That means, mommy has her hands full with lunches each evening. One thing I like to do is keep the lunches different each day. I try to stick to the basics for them choosing some type of meat or sandwich plus cheese and fruit. This time we put in a few organic pretzels into the mix too. Then, I also like to add a sweet treat.
We decided to make a little treat with SkinnyPop® Popcorn Original. My son LOVED getting involved in this as over the summer he’s grown fond of making his own food now.
I had him mix up the popcorn with a little bit of his favorites like raisins, peanuts, and just a couple organic chocolate chips. It made for a fun little mix with the popcorn and a better-for-you snack too. SkinnyPop is made with only simple, natural ingredients plus it’s gluten-free too. That makes it a win in our family.
SkinnyPop believes simple ingredients are the best and I sure agree, don’t you? It’s always nice to be able to pronounce what goes in your food. One thing I love is that they offer the 100-calorie bags in both Original and White Cheddar flavors. These are the perfect size to put in your kids’ lunches too even without making it a mix or have for a snack throughout the day.
Let’s face it though, it’s also great for mom to snack on while packing lunches. Am I right?
It’s time to go back to school and pack those lunches with better-for-you foods!
What do you pack for lunch? I’d love to hear some ideas.
