7 Months

Someone stop time please.

Please…stop it!

How is it that we are already more than half way now through the 1st year of our life with our baby girl?!  I’m already planning the birthday party.

Yes, I’m early.  I have no shame.

I also completely forgot about the baby update last month, whoops!  It was just too crazy of a month, so just act like I did one…okay?

I’m not ready for all these milestones though!  They come so fast.

7 Months

I was playing with our son the other day who just turned 4 and thought he is so big, so stinking big.  He acts like a little man now with a few crying fits in between but let’s face it grown men do that too.  As I played with him I thought about how I remember holding him when he was born looking into his eyes, the first time he sat up, crawled, walked, and how much we looked forward to those stages.

Now…we can’t ever go back.  I can’t turn back time, each day he gets older as do I, but I’ll push that part out of my mind.

As my daughter hits these milestones it’s bittersweet because now I know, it’s exciting but at that same time it’s sad.  She’ll never be a newborn again, she’ll never curl up into a little ball and fit in my arms.

Pass the Kleenex please…

7 months

This month she’d rather just chew the sticker instead of wearing it.

Well…she’d rather just chew anything remotely chewable.

I’m still trying to figure out what to do about all big brothers little toys.  I have nightmares at night about all those little pieces.

Nightmares, friends.

He loves cars and Hot Wheels all of which have little pieces…more nightmares.

7 months

She also is full of expressions these days and lots of jabbering.  She loves to laugh and smiles along with scream and cry.  She can go from laughing to screaming in all of 1.258283 seconds.

No joke.  She can.

She will.

7 months

She did all week.  Mommy needed sanity pills, also known as lots of chocolate chips.

It’s all thanks to those little teeth.  As far as I can tell she’s cutting 6 of them…at once.

Pass the chocolate along with those Kleenex!

She’s sitting up now; however, she gets overly excited then starts boucning around and falls backwards.  Our Mombo pillow is helping with that though, she just falls into that which then helps her get herself back up.

7 months

Did I mention we have a lot of this going on?

Do you know what this it?

I can’t take it.

More Kleenex…

She’s trying to crawl.  Every day…all day.

7 months

She wants to crawl so bad, she scoots and moves all over the place but hasn’t grasp it yet that she can get her little booty up and move.

It’s coming, friends…gone are my easy days.

Running shoes are being dusted off.

7 Months

She’s eating more these days too, I’m slowly starting to add in more finger foods but have this horrible fear of choking in the back of my mind.  So, I’ll get there…eventually.

I’m happy to say that nursing has gone very well, such a completely different experience than with my son.  I’m grateful for that.

7 months

Now time for me to get some more sweet snuggles.  This may be my favorite picture of her.  No, she wasn’t really asleep she was chowing down on that blanket and proving exactly why she can’t sleep with blankets yet; however, it looks like she’s peacefully snoozing.

By the way she’s a great sleeper, but I have to figure out a way to move her nap time from the swing to the crib.

One day I’ll get around to that.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying every single moment because it passes far to quickly and next thing I know, I’ll be helping her rock her babies to sleep.

Happy Saturday!

Love reading these posts since our little ones are so close in age. It is going crazy fast isn’t it? I want to freeze time for a bit. So exciting and hard at the same time.

It’s way too fast!! I can’t believe how quickly it’s going by. I keep trying to figure out where the last 7 months went. Ha! I can’t believe how big your little guy is getting too!!

Beautiful pics! All very true words! My kids grew up way too fast and I just had my first grandchild on Valentine’s Day. My sweet angel Ryleigh. And now she is growing up way too fast.

Such a precious baby girl and I know exactly how you feel about time passing too fast! I had three babies in four years and before I could turn around they were all in school! Now my grand babies are almost grown Wahhh!
Maybe they will give me greats one of these days!

How adorable! I have the 4 year old little man like you do and didn’t have the joy of the second baby so I am sniffing with you because I don’t have the second chance to watch another little one growing up. I think your babies are both adorable but you can’t help but love the little ones and all the funny things that enertain them like eating the blanket 🙂
