I’m now entering my 34th week of pregnancy and finally on the home stretch! I could potentially have a baby in 3 weeks which is extremely exciting and scary all at the same time. Along with having a shower and preparing her room, we have also been busy stocking up diapers!
When we had our son, we were blessed with enough Huggies diapers to last us several months, it was wonderful! This time around we are trying a few different things like cloth diapering along with using disposables as needed too. So, I am stocking up a few of my favorite disposables to go along with the cloth diapers.
For me one of the most important things about diapering is keeping that little, cute tushy all nice and dry and without a rash! Luckily with my son, we used mostly Huggies and were amazed that he had very little to no rashes! The only rash he really had was due to a food allergy and not diapering.
I’ll admit, I’m a picky diaper person. I had a hard time with diapers with my son finding ones that avoided leakage; however, I never seemed to have that problem with Huggies.
So, this week I headed out to Walmart because they had their Jumbo Packs of Huggies Snug & Dry on rollback for $22.94! Did I mention that you can get 120 diapers in size 1 and 128 in size 2? Umm…that’s a lot of diapers! That comes out to just about 18 cents a diaper, which is a great deal on disposables!
I stocked up on a box of size 1 and size 2 diapers to keep on hand for busy days when we need disposables! Along with the Snug & Dry, I also picked up a few packages of newborn diapers too.
When I opened these I had to hold back my emotion when I saw how tiny those diapers are. I guess I forgot that my son was ever that small!
I’m really looking forward to all those newborn baby cuddles! A great thing about this diaper deal at Walmart is that I have several friends all expecting the same time as myself so that means great deals on gifts for them. Although diapers may not be the most fun gift to buy, they are the most practical and you can never have too many!
I felt like purchasing these diapers was the final step in getting ready for our new baby. We now have a great starter set of cloth diapers along with a large stash of disposables to use too!
Next step…having the baby!

I am very excited for you and your family. There is nothing so wonderful as welcoming a new baby into the world.
And Huggies really are the best diapers in the world too!!
I am so excited you are trying out cloth diapering. We used disposables with our son and then I wised up with our daughter and used cloth. I loved cloth diapering! It was awesome. Plus they are so cute on their little tooshies! I will warn you though, at night, you will want to double stuff that diaper when your little bundle of joy gets bigger so she doesn’t wet through. I hope you enjoy cloth daipering as much as I did. It is a little overwhelming at first, but don’t let it get the best of you, stick with it! You’ll love it!
By the way, I love your site, I follow it often and love the recipes.
Best of luck to you and your family in this new journey!

Thank you! I’m pretty excited about it too, still have my disposables on stand by for moments of being overwhelmed…but I’m really looking forward to it! I agree too, they are adorable!
Best of luck with the new baby! 🙂
It looks like you are all stocked up! I am anxiously awaiting the news of your baby’s arrival!
Hi Kristy~
Do you mind if I ask where you bought your cloth diapers? They look so cute and we are almost done using up the disposables we were given as baby gifts. I have said after they were gone, I would try cloth diapers, but just don’t know what ones to buy and where? Love your blog!!
Thanks!!
I ordered these on AlvaBaby.com. I’m anxious to try them out.
