Have you heard? MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron has smashed into Walmart stores near you! Now, that could only mean one thing around our home. Party time!
It was certainly party time when the new movie hit shelves, but this time we decided to put a Halloween spin on our party.
What does this mean? Queue the spiders…lots of spider, even Spider-Man joined in too! I headed out to Walmart to pick up all the goodies for our party including a Captain America Halloween Bucket which I filled with Avengers snacks.
Then, I also picked up a witches brew bucket to fill up with a Captain America inspired popcorn.
Oh wait…good ole’ Thor lost his hammer in Captain America’s popcorn. Oh the agony.
Good thing Thor has some muscles, he worked at it until he got that hammer out of the popcorn bucket. I think he even took a few kernels of popcorn with him as souvenirs.
Now, I have to say Hulk sure did make a smashing cake. I decided to use a store bought cake, then I put his big hands right on top as if he was about to smash it. My husband was cheering him on in hopes he smashed it but no worries, we saved the cake.
We put the cake on a box that was wrapped to serve as a ‘building’. We were planning to do a large sky scrapper but it was a little too large for the table, so this one worked out perfectly.
Now all superheroes need some healthy food to get those muscles nice and strong, so we did a yogurt parfait buffet line as well. I filled a bowl with vanilla Greek yogurt and a tray with all the toppings. This was perfect for the superheroes to build their parfaits.
I whipped up a Blue Raspberry drink complete with eyeballs also known as gumballs floating inside. Spooky indeed!
Our party was a superhero success. I know Thor and Spider-Man were thrilled with the party, Spider-Man even opted to climb the wall too! That was created with spiderweb tablecloths to make the perfect backdrop.
Then, it was time to load up on superhero snacks and watch the new movie! It released on 10/1! We were able to pick up the Blu-Ray/DVD combo at Walmart! Have you picked yours up yet?
Time to have a SUPER Party!
