My obsession with the Air Fryer continues with this Gluten Free Air Fryer Honey Garlic Shrimp. You won’t believe how easy it is to get crisp, flavorful results!
If you haven’t purchased an Air Fryer yet, I highly suggest that you look into one. It has become my go-to appliance for cooking even more so than my oven.
I literally have not used the oven for dinner in weeks because I am using the Air Fryer every single day. It’s so simple to make a variety of meals in mere minutes without having to get all sorts of pots, pans, and dishes out with an air fryer.
I have a variety of favorites; it’s almost hard to choose at this point. I can say that after I had Air Fryer Tacos, I can’t go back to regular tacos anymore.
One thing I have noticed though is that this Gluten Free Air Fryer Honey Garlic Shrimp has become a favorite not only for dinner but for lunch too.
I can easily make the sauce and coat the shrimp. Once the shrimp is coated, I simply add it to the air fryer with a bag of stir-fry vegetables.
That’s all you need to do unless you would like to add more seasoning to it. The great thing is that you can use this concept with a variety of sauces like Teriyaki or Sweet and Sour too.
We like to serve ours over a little bit of steamed rice to complete the meal. This is such a great healthier option too, plus it’s filling for lunch.
I typically will purchase the shrimp without tails; however, this time I decided to get tail on; however, that’s up to your personal preference.
Air Fryer Tip
- Keep in mind if you are looking to purchase an air fryer the size you may need. I use a 3.7L, which is great for a family of 4; however, if you make recipes that serve more than that, it may be wise to purchase a larger one.
This particular recipe will fit well in a 3.7L; however, with many of the recipes I have done in the air fryer lately, I end up doing multiple batches.

Now it’s time to enjoy these Gluten Free Air Fryer Honey Garlic Shrimp. They are great paired with Gluten Free Spring Rolls too.
I am now using a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer; however, you can check out a variety of different air fryers in my post on, How to Choose the Right Air Fryer.

This shrimp looks amazing! I love shrimp recipes,
Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday. I hope to see you at the party next week.
I used a ninja foodi to make this recipe, following the recipe, except I went to 360 degrees as the ninja goes in 10 degree increments. So after 10 minutes, the shrimp was obviously not cooked. I kept extending the time and stirring so as to get the shrimp more to the top where it would cook. Wondering if it would be better to use the bake/roast feature rather than the air fryer setting? The recipe only says cook for 10 mins. In the end it was good, and I’m sure it could be perfected with some more tries.
Ours is always done within 10 minutes, sometimes even sooner but I’ve noticed that each Ninja Foodi heats differently, I have 3…and all 3 seem to heat differently. I’d suggest next time preheating it with the air fryer function on without food in it for about 5-10 minutes. It may not have gotten hot enough throughout the cooking time.
Terrible, no taste! The frozen vegetables turned the thick sauce to water. Total waste of a meal.
