Get ready for school with these 5 Ways to Pack a Lunchbox! This post has been sponsored by ZonePerfect®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
It’s time again to get ready for back to school so over these next few weeks I will be sharing several lunchbox ideas with you. I hope these help you get started on packing those lunches again. My daughter is going to be in school 5 days now, so now it’s 2 a day for me, but I’m sure many of you are making much more too. One thing that I’ve found is if I mix up the lunch just a bit my kids are more likely to eat it. I’ve also started to add a nutritious snack to it too that includes these ZonePerfect® Kidz nutrition bars.
These bars come in a 3 flavors including Yellow Cupcake, Chocolate Cupcake, and Sugar Cookie. Of course, my kids loved the Chocolate Cupcake. I think that was their favorite. What does mom love? I love that it is filled with 23 vitamins and minerals, no artificial flavors or colors plus it has a great boost of nutrients. They also are packed with protein, which kids need. They especially need it when they are going for a long day at school. I remember always being so hungry when I was a kid after school too, these would be perfect as an after-school snack as well.
Now, let’s talk about lunch. I decided to showcase 5 ways to Pack a Lunchbox with these different lunch variations. Of course, there are always certain things that may need to be adapted because we all know that kids are picky, but these can help get some ideas started for you.
5 Ways to Pack a Lunchbox
Peanut Butter and Jelly Pockets
Bean Burrito
Tortilla Wraps with Ham & Cheese
Cheese & Crackers
Sliced Hot Dogs
I have done each of these for my kids and they both love them, I have specific ones that I do for my daughter and ones for my son. My son doesn’t seem to be nearly as picky as my daughter is. She’s in that age where she is particular about everything these days, I remember him going through this as well. The good thing is neither one of them complain about the ZonePerfect Kidz Nutrition Bars, so at least I know they will have that source of nutrients during the day too. I picked these up at Target right along with all my school supplies too. That’s right, we have all our supplies already.
I was browsing the store and noticed that the school supplies aisle looked completely untouched and well stocked, and I knew that if I waited I would be going to multiple stores for supplies, so I actually shopped early this year. This is the first year that I’ve bought supplies so early and it was worth it because we got everything we needed and it was just us, there were no crowds around either. That means we are all set, between lunches and supplies, my kids are ready to go back to school and yours will be too!
What do you plan to put in your kids lunches? I’d love to hear some of your ideas too.

Happy Back to School Season!

Those are all great ideas for lunch! We like wraps and veggie straws too. Those lunch containers won’t fit in my son’s lunchbox though, I wish they would. You’re lucky you had a good back to school shopping experience. I went yesterday, our school starts in a week and a half, and the shelves were a mess and we couldn’t find everything we needed. The aisles were crowded too. I usually shop earlier, but I always shop the sales, and there haven’t been any really good ones this year, unfortunately.
I haven’t found any good sales either! I wonder why it’s that way this year! I love the wraps idea, I need to do some of those too.
Lots of great ideas! We use the same containers. I also love packing dried fruit or veggies, chobani yogurt pouches, and hard boiled eggs… all abou making it convenient (so us parents don’t lose our minds) but still healthy! Thank you.
I love the egg idea! My daughter loves eggs, I hadn’t thought to add a hard boiled one. 🙂
I love the ideas. I am always looking for nut free so my kids can sit with their friends. Where did you get the containers and are the bars nut free?
The ones we got didn’t appear to have nuts, but I didn’t check to see if it was crossed with them at all. I got these lunchboxes on Amazon, if you search bento style lunchboxes you’ll find several. We love them and stock up on them every single year.
