Are you ready to make dinner with just 4 Ingredients?! This 4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Roast Beef is the easiest roast beef and it’s so tasty too.
This is a complete one-dish dinner.
What cut of beef should you use for Slow Cooker Roast Beef?
The best cut would be to use a beef chuck or chuck roast. It’s actually cut from the cow’s shoulder and gives a great flavor and is tender too.
Do you need to brown the roast before cooking it in the slow cooker?
This is all based on preference, and it is not necessary. I actually skip this step because for me when I use my slow cooker, I want to do all the cooking in one place and not add unnecessary steps.
If you prefer to though, by all means, brown the meat first.
Can you make this roast in the Ninja Foodi?
If you use a Ninja Foodi as I do now, it’s easy to do this step in the Ninja Foodi on saute, and then switch right to the slow cooker without ever taking the meat out of the pot.
If you use the slow cooker function, move the nozzle to VENT, then cook on low for 8 hours.

- Jar of Beef Gravy
That’s all you need, it’s super simple and a great go-to dinner for a busy weeknight.
How long will you cook 4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Roast Beef?
This will be done in 8 hours, depending on the size of the meat it can also be done in 6; however, we typically cook this on low for 8 hours. It can also be cooked on high for 4 hours.

Ingredients
- 3 Lb Beef Chuck Roast
- 5 Medium Potatoes Halved
- 8 oz Baby Carrots
- 12 oz Jar of Beef Gravy
Instructions
- Spray the slow cooker with the spray, then place roast beef, potatoes, carrots, and gravy in the cooker.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Carefully remove and serve.
