When my husband and I were first married, my aunt sent us a nice batch of delicious recipes. I won’t even admit to how long it actually took me to make them. It’s sad really!
I just truly didn’t care to cook when we were first married, my husband did most of the cooking. Then, I picked up those recipes years later and regretted waiting so long. They are all amazing. We now make them all the time.
What cut of beef should you use for Slow Cooker Roast Beef?
The best cut would be to use a beef chuck or chuck roast. It’s actually cut from the cow’s shoulder and gives a great flavor and is tender too.
Do you need to brown the roast before cooking in the slow cooker?
This is all based on preference, and it is not necessary. I actually skip this step because for me when I use my slow cooker, I want to do all the cooking in one place and not add unnecessary steps. If you prefer to though, by all means, brown the meat first.
If you use a Ninja Foodi as I do now, it’s easy to do this step in the Ninja Foodi on saute, and then switch right to the slow cooker without ever taking the meat out of the pot.
