This month I’m honored to team up with Unilever and promote their Cross Off Hunger Campaign! Unilever makes up a large array of brands that you likely purchase and may not realize that they are Unilever brands. Together Unilever is striving to help over 1 Billion improve their health and well being. They have now teamed up with Feeding American to help families in need!
I am planning to purchase many Unilever products this month to show my support some of my favorites are brands like Dove, Lipton, Hellman’s, and Country Crock. Those are a few that I know I will be purchasing as we head into the holiday season.
Unilever Mission:
Unilever is committed to donating more than two million meals to families in need with Feeding America and every item on your shopping list counts. Show your support by adding Unilever brands to your cart next time you shop. Together we can help to Cross Off Hunger.
How to Help:
- Learn and Educate yourself on the food banks in your area and how to help locally.
- Visit Making Life Better to learn more on giving back and sustainable living.
- Pick up your favorite Unilever products at the store.
I plan to focus on giving back locally to food banks in our area; however, I also want to be sure that for my family we stick to it even after the holidays. Many times it is easy to focus on giving to food banks during the holiday season when we constantly are hearing about it and have it on our minds; however, these food banks feed people year round not just during the holidays.
Another way that we plan to give back is to cut back on things that we may not think make a difference but they really do as far as sustainable living. For instance when I’m cooking and doing something at the stove and may leave the water on, simply turning that water off can make a huge difference as far as sustainable living goes.
What are ways that you plan to give back and Cross Off Hunger this year? Be sure and share ideas over on the Making Life Better Facebook Page as well as Twitter at #BetterTogether.
