Many years ago, I gave up drinking soda on a regular basis.  I do indulge myself in an occasional soda, but it’s very rare!  The reason?  All those empty calories and sugar!  I stopped drinking sugar filled soda when I was 15, shortly after that I lost 30 pounds.  I was in absolute shock at how much weight I lost by just limiting my soda intake. shock at how much weight I lost by just limiting my soda intake. That also pointed to how much of it I was drinking. Now, as my husband and I are both on a wellness journey, I’m starting to really get tired of water. I drink more water than most probably do each day; however, it’s nice to have a carbonated, flavored beverage every now and then. Thankfully, I was recently introduced to Luma, and unlike diet sodas it’s naturally sweetened.

Luma is only 25 calories with about 3-4g of sugar versus 40-48g of sugar and 150 calories.  Luma is the perfect alternative, it’s naturally sweetened with honey and monk fruit.  I’m finding so many of the foods I’m eating these days have monk fruit in them, it’s a great alternative to the artificial sweeteners.

Luma also comes in 4 flavors and it’s full of natural flavors and natural colors that come from fruit and vegetables, so no artificial preservatives. It’s an actual soda that is better-for-you! Are we dreaming? We aren’t! I can tell you from my own experience it’s AMAZING too! My favorite is the Blood Orange; it taste like orange soda but it’s not as sweet, I actually like that too! It also comes in Cola, Cherry Cola, and Lemon Lime, all of the key flavors that we typically look for in our soda, Luma makes.

I haven’t heard of Luma before. I think that I would like the Cherry Cola and Blood Orange flavors the best. I do indulge in a soda once in a while. Usually when we go out to dinner. I drink sparkling water, but so many of them have artificial flavors. Sounds like Luma would be a good alternative for me.

I am always looking for an alternative to drinking soda that is tasty. I like that there are so many different flavours to choose from. I would definitely try this product to see if it can help me move away from normal soda. I’m not sure if Luma has made its way into Canada, but I will be on the lookout for it.

I had never heard of this soda brand before but I am so glad I did. I am a sucker for anything bubbly! All of these flavors seem so delicious… they remind me of San Pellegrinos.

Is this like a sparkling water or more like an actual soda? I have cut out soda, but I have been drinking the La Criox waters. I am always on the lookout for different beverages to try.

You had me at blood orange! I never was a fan of blood oranges…I alway found them to tart for my taste. But now I love them, which means I would love this drink!

This sounds absolutely incredible! Like you I gave up drinking soda on a regular basis a long while ago, my body just couldn’t handle the extra sugar! This sounds like the perfect way to have a treat drink without the extra overload! I can’t wait to give it a try!

While I don’t drink soda I do have a problem with sugary cocktails that I enjoy on more than one occasion. I say that because I recently gave up drinking and have already noticed the amount of weight lost and energy I have. I feel you on the “needing something else besides water” feeling. I generally substitute it with POM juice but will definitely be giving Luma a try.
