Are you ready for a wonderful treat this afternoon? Then, these Peanut Butter & Berry Bars are just for you! This is a sponsored post written on behalf of the The J.M. Smucker Company, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
As soon as my son hops into the car in the carpool line, I typically don’t even get a hello. It’s immediately, “Did you bring any snacks?” One would think that after nearly 9 months being in school and me saying the same thing, “no, you can have a snack when we get home.” He would stop asking, right? Nope…every single day!
Over the past few months, I’ve tried to make different snacks to have after school that are a little bit more filling then simply chips or something of that sort, not to mention a bit better for him too. We typically have about 1-2 hours before dinner once we get home and from the time we walk in until dinner time, all I hear is “I need more snacks. Can I have snacks?” I have to constantly say that they have had enough and can wait until dinner. Wouldn’t you know though as soon as dinner comes they are suddenly so full they can’t eat. Isn’t it interesting how that works? Of course once dinner is done, suddenly they need a snack again. Ironic? I sure don’t think so, but I’m out to get some more filling snacks so that we can cut down on how many snacks the kids eat.
That led me to these Peanut Butter & Berry Bars using Smucker’s Fruit & Honey. These hit the spot with the kids and my husband and I too! We all enjoyed these and they are perfect with a glass of milk after school.
The Smucker’s Fruit & Honey gives it just the right amount of sweetness paired alongside the peanut butter. The first time I made these I didn’t add any additional sugar, but then we felt like a bit was needed so this recipe is written with it. They are still tasty without it too though.
Now, let’s get right to eating these delicious treats!
