This past week, I decided to glaze our steaks with equal parts honey and olive oil mixture, then I sprinkled the steaks with the seasoning packet that’s included and they were bursting with flavor. I love ours medium well, but how do you cook them? I can’t do rare, but I definitely am not a fan of well done either. I like them right in the middle with just a touch of pink. My husband prefers his extra well done. I just think a good steak doesn’t need steak sauce, don’t you?

Honey Glazed Steaks
Ingredients
- 4 Filet Mignon from Kansas City Steak Company
- 1 Seasoning Packet
- 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
- 1/2 Cup Honey
Instructions
- Mix together the olive oil and honey, brush onto each steak and season with the seasoning packet.
- Let this sit for 1-2 hours to soak in.
- Grill on medium-high heat until your desired doneness.

I am a Texan, so I like my steak batter dipped and pan fried. Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and country gravy is my favorite meal.

How do you like to serve your steaks?
The way that I like to serve my steaks are grilled to medium or medium well, with just a little salt and pepper to season them, with rice pilaf, asparagus that is either sautéed with garlic or roasted/grilled, and a salad. Sometimes I will marinate my steaks in a simple marinade of low sodium soy sauce and minced garlic overnight then grill them to medium/medium well.

I like to make a salt and pepper crust on my steaks, then put them in a preheated oven to 325 for about 15-25 minutes depending on siZe, then finishing them in a preheated cast iron with butter. Brown each side for 1 minute and done! We like ours rare:)
