It’s time to think about Christmas gifts! Are you ready yet? I’m actually nearly done! I wasn’t even planning to start Christmas shopping until now, but I saw so many good deals last month that I started early.
I also surprised my kids with a little treat early, this Grocery Marketplace from KidKraft, plus their food set! Do your kids LOVE grocery shopping? Or maybe they scream while you shop, but if they could run around and ‘play’ grocery store they would probably be happy to shop. I know for my kids if they could do that then grocery shopping would not be such a challenge.
Unfortunately, when we are at the real grocery store they can’t run and play, they have to behave otherwise we may be banished from the store. That’s why when I saw this Grocery Marketplace from KidKraft, I could not wait to try it out. My kids LOVE to pretend play and this is a great way to show them different skills they will need as they grow up.
My son is into sorting right now so he loves to sort the foods and take the ‘money’. My daughter is more into making a mess at the moment, so she’d rather empty the food buckets all over the floor.
The one thing I love about this though is that they both play together using it and we all know for siblings when we find something that they can do together…without fighting, it’s like finding gold!
This little marketplace did take some time to put together, thankfully my husband did that job. The kids were so anxious that it probably would have taken less time if they were not constantly asking him if he was done yet. I’ll admit I was anxious too! It even has little chalkboards on the front to write the products on plus the cash register and a credit card.
The food came separately with this, but we used the KidKraft food set. It was actually a great food set, much better than the other ones we have had in the past. The food is very sturdy and very lifelike as far as the different types of foods they have. We loved building different meals with the food.
What is on your kid’s wishlist this year?
Be sure to find more great toys on the KidKraft website or Facebook Page. KidKraft products can be found online or at these retailers.
Have fun playing!
