Pinterest Project: Sherbert Punch

sherbert punch drink

A few week’s back I found this awesome punch jar over at Goodwill for $10!  After leaving without it, my husband and I both agree we had to go back and get it.  We love having outdoor BBQ’s and we knew this would be a hit for drinks!

It just happened that the following weekend we were celebrating birthdays so I decided to try it out!  It was one of the highlights of the party, and I had to make sure my grandma didn’t go home with my glass jar!  She wanted the jar not necessarily all the punch; however, my dad wanted to take the punch home!

I was inspired by The Busy Budgeting Mama on this recipe.  I love how the raspberry sherbert she uses makes the punch such a bright color.  My store did not have raspberry sherbert which was okay because I was trying to make this more of a flavored drink than a sweeter punch.

I used a recipe we use often in our family!

Enjoy this easy drink!

Pinterest Project: Picture Valentine’s

picture valentinePhoto Source and Tutorial: The Rachel Berry Blog

This is just beyond cute and creative!  This Valentine has the hand slightly cut out of the picture and then the sucker is put through the hand to look like the girl is holding it.  That’s just brilliant!  Find this wonderful and creative idea on The Rachel Berry Blog!

Do you get creative for Valentine’s Day or do you stick to the traditional Valentine’s purchased at the store?

For us, we are sticking with store bought this year, seeing as my son is only a toddler, I am taking the easy route!  I am saving up all these creative ideas for when he gets a little older.

Pinterest Project: Boys Dress Up Area

toddler dress up

I mentioned a while back that we were working on my son’s room.  We decided to change it from a cowboy theme nursery to a car’s/auto theme.

As I was browsing Pinterest for ideas, I landed on this dress up idea from Budget Beautiful Bungalow.  I thought this would be perfect for us, since I knew we would have an empty corner.  This corner is hard to fill because the closet door opens on this side, so I cannot put anything big or bulky in that corner.

I went to Target and purchased a mirror for $5.99, then I used paint markers and painted on it.

My son loves this area, he also thinks it’s fun to see himself in the mirror.  Now, we just need to stock up on some cute dress up items for him.

We enjoyed decorating his room, and are still doing a few finishing touches.  I will post more on his room soon!

Have a wonderful day!
