Healthy Remix: Chicken Fajitas

One of my favorite healthy dinners is Chicken Fajitas.  I love these because you can add as many veggies as you want to them.  The recipe that I have for Chicken Fajitas is already a low fat recipe; however, to make it even healthier add additional veggies or serve it with a side of roasted veggies instead of rice.

Healthy Remix: Fish Taco’s with Corn Salsa

Today’s healthy remix is highlighting an already healthy meal, Fish Taco’s with Corn Salsa.  These provide you with protein and veggies as well as many other nutrients all in one dish.  I like to pair these with a side of Brown Rice.

Healthy Remix: Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This week’s Healthy Remix is already healthy, Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup.  The main factor in this soup is that the beef has been replaced with Ground Chicken which is 95% lean.  This is a nice healthy alternative to beef taco soup.  There is also added health value in the beans and veggies in the soup.  Serve these with either tortillas or baked tortilla chips and a little bit of low fat shredded cheese.

Healthy Remix: BBQ Shredded Chicken Burritos

Today’s Healthy Remix features an already low fat meal, Shredded Chicken Burritos.  The corn salsa is a great addition to these burritos that adds in giving them a crunchy texture.  Just use a low fat cheese and you have an easy healthy meal that the entire family will love!

Healthy Remix: Hummus and Turkey Pinwheels

I am sharing today more of a Healthy Recap instead of a Remix with the Hummus and Turkey Wraps.  These are already a good healthy dish, perfect for lunch or dinner!  Serve these with a side of fruit instead of chips to make them even more nutritional.

I find that many wraps can be served in a healthy manner as long as you watch the sauce.  It’s easy to see how healthy a wrap can be and not think about the mayo or dressing that is on the wrap, so when choosing a wrap be sure and consider the sauce.
