Now that the holidays are past, many of us are back into game day planning mode, right? So many big games ahead it’s time to plan awesome parties. Of course, what if you are just having a small gathering? We had one recently, so I wanted to stick with easy options for the big game.
My husband likes to have a great variety of foods for game days even if it’s only him watching the game. I would rather eat and talk to the girls other than watch the game. That’s just how it goes at our house. Of course, I think all the women also end up with kid duty too. Regardless, I make sure we are all set when it comes to food.
For this game day I decided to use a DiGiorno® Pepperoni STUFFED CRUST® Pizza, paired along side Coca-Cola. Then, my guests almost always expect that I’ll be making something since I do cook a lot, so I whipped up these Ritz Meatball Skewers. They are perfect for a snack option for the game. My kids loved those as well.
Once we had all our food prepared it was time to dig in. I decided to set it up on our kitchen table, I used a football shaped tray for the meatball skewers, then compartments on the sides for the sauce and cheese. Along with the food, I also picked up these football toppers at Walmart too for the skewers. They went perfectly with our theme!
The skewers take just a few minutes to create, simply preheat some meatballs and then cut them in half. I placed each half on a Ritz cracker and lined the holes in the crackers up right with my football toothpick topper so that I could simply stick it right in and keep it in place. Then, I put a side of Mozzarella Cheese and Marinara Sauce in the tray so each guests could top them.
Once we had our food ready, we were good to go! I was ready to do a lot of talking and my hubby was ready to do some yelling at the TV!
Be sure to head on over to Walmart where you can pick up all the items you need for your game day on Rollback!
