Lean Cuisine Salad Additions

lean cuisine salad additions

This past week, I was so excited to try out the latest product from Lean Cuisine, their Salad Additions!  This product is in the frozen foods aisle and basically includes all that you would need to build a delicious salad at home in a box aside from the lettuce.  The reason I love these is that with a new baby plus a toddler, being able to eat lunch myself is a luxury and these salad additions make it possible!

I ended up purchasing each variety that my Walmart carried and found that I am able to eat the Bistro Chicken as long as I do not use the breaded topping, which then keeps it gluten free for me.  My husband enjoyed the Asian Chicken Salad and thought it tasted like restaurant quality.

The price point is between $2.50-$3.00 and considering you get all you need for your salad, I found that to be a great price.  It was a nice alternative to buying all the ingredients separately.  If purchased separately, you can easily spend close to $10 or  more due to the cost of the chicken and toppings.  Another reason these were convenient for me was not having to do any prep work, as I mentioned I have a small window to enjoy lunch and making a salad complete with grilled chicken in less than 3 minutes is just what I need right now!

I am very picky when it comes to frozen food and with these salad additions, I would have never known the toppings were frozen!  I couldn’t think of a better way to start the New Year than having a few of these in my freezer for quick and healthy lunches!

Have you tried the new Lean Cuisine Salad Additions?  What did you think of them?
