Slow Cooker Onion Soup Chicken and Sides

slow cooker onion soup chicken

These past few weeks I have been using my slow cooker more regularly with it being so hot out plus being busy!  Not only that, but I am really loving cooking chicken drumsticks in it.  Chicken Drumsticks are one of the most affordable meat buys at the store plus you can do all sorts of spices and creations to make them so tasty!

This past week I decided to use a few envelopes of Lipton Onion Soup Mix to give them a boost of flavor.  They were delicious and tender, falling right off the bone as I ate them!  Not only that but I was able to cook the potatoes and beans in the slow cooker as well right along with the chicken.  When I got home that day I had a complete dinner waiting on me!

Slow Cooker Onion Soup Chicken and Potatoes

  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 4 Medium Potatoes, Halved
  • 1-2 Cups Frozen Green Beans
  • 2 Envelopes of Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 Cup of Water

In a 5 quart slow cooker, spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

Place the potatoes on the bottom of the slow cooker, then top them with the green beans.

Next lay the chicken on top of the veggies.

Pour the 2 packets of onion soup mix evenly around the chicken and veggies, then add the water.

Let this cook on low for 8 hours.
