So Good, So Sweet

Have you ever had one of those moments where it just hits you, that sweet moment with your family is what life is really about? I had one of those moments recently with our family on Easter.

We had just finished eating Easter dinner and headed out to do the Easter egg hunt in the pasture. As we were finishing up, the neighbor’s horse came up near the fence. We immediately noticed that the grandpas, dads, and sons were all heading to the fence to pet the horse. The rest of the family was standing on the porch watching from a distance.

As we sat there and watched, my sister told me I need to run out there and get some pictures of that because it was so sweet to see them all gathered around the fence enjoying that moment.

I headed out toward the field and had one of those moments. That moment when it all just clicks and you realize that these little moments are many times the sweetest moments in life.

It is moments like these that each of these young boys will remember as they grow up. They will cherish the small moments they had to just be kids and explore. They will also cherish those moments where their dads and grandpas were there to teach them and they were able to learn from them.

The horse was so happy about his new visitors he gave my little nephew a nice kiss on the face. This is where my nephew was yelling ‘Yucky, Ewww’.  We all laughed and enjoyed that special time together!
