As many of you know who have been around a while, my first photo’s of my meals were absolutely horrid. Really they were awful, there are still a few left on the site and they make me cringe. At the time I did not realize that auto and the flash were not my friend.
After about a year I purchased a DSLR in hopes of making my food pictures much more beautiful. Although, I had a fancy camera, the next question was how on earth do I use it?
I have tried many different sources to learn how to use the DSLR; however, I am a beginner and some of the words and the terms are way over my head.
I was recently given a copy of Kristen Duke’s E-Book, Say NO to Auto. It only took me a few minutes to read through this book and I was ready to run outside and start practicing shooting in manual. I cannot even express the difference in the pictures that I took. I am still learning and practicing, I have a very long way to go; however, this E-Book was written in the terminology that I could understand.
I now understand how to adjust my F Stops and Aperture and how to take a photo that has very low light and the photo comes out bright and clear.
I am beyond excited to recommend this E-Book and even more excited that I have a copy to giveaway!

What’s not to love about a picture right!!!! They are what hold our memories when we forget so quickly how our little one looked at just 3 weeks old (and he is only 9 months old now!) I love that it captures moments of joy, happiness, laughter, FAMILY! And shoot I’d love to win this giveaway, but thanks for sharing regardless because I had no idea of her or her Facebook page!
and I did just like her FB page…thanks a bunch!!
Photography is my creative outlet. I am all about instant gratification, so to be able to snap the shot, pop the card in my computer and make something great out of it just make me happy. I just got my Canon for Christmas and I would love to go manual and actually know what I’m doing lol

I love how photography captures a moment so that you can go back and relive it. I also love how photography can take simple images and transform them. Its helps you relive those treasured moments and others can give you motivation. I just recently got a new DSLR camera and would love to be able to use it to its potential so that I can capture all those precious moments.
I like photography because it allows me to have a forever image of something that I enjoyed in the moment.

I love that photography captures so many memories that you can look back at and think “oh yeah” or “aww I had forgotten her face was that precious when she spilled OJ down my brand new cream couch”
MEMORIES MEMORIES MEMORIES!! That’s what I love about photography. My love for photography was born when I had my first child 23 months ago. Now that we have baby number 2 its grown that much more! Taking pictures of my family has sparked a desire to not only capture memories of my family but others as well. I am in complete bliss when I’m taking pictures and that is what my business will be called…Bliss Photography. I’m excited about what the future holds and winning Say No to Auto would be a great way to get started! I liked the FB page as well!
I love that photography captures moments that would otherwise end up forgotten. I love to take pictures with my DSLR, but could use some tips on making my photos better. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love capturing memories…having that special moment in time forever visible is priceless.
I LIKEd Kristin of FB too!!!
I don’t know what it is exactly about photography that I love, but I know I’ve always had a camera in my hand and shoot, shoot, shoot! Parties, people, pets, flowers, birds…doesn’t matter! Food photography is something I’ve never gotten into because the lighting in my house is so terrible. Doesn’t mean I won’t pick it up someday.
I liked Kristen’s page on FB, too!
I love “catching those perfect moments” or an impromptu shot that just lines out perfectly. Without photography they are gone in a flash. I have found a newfound passion in photography.
I liked on facebook too!

I love being able to capture events happening now. Knowing that someday I can go back and watch my children and grandchildren go through the pictures, hopefully with the same excitement I experienced with my Grandmother’s and my Mother’s photography collection
Going to like her facebook page now.
I love how the perfect picture can elicit such feelings of emotion or memories for us!!!!
You can look back on things that you may have otherwise forgotten, overtime. I love taking them of my boys and playing around with the pics in photoshop! It is a hobby that i love.

The best thing about photography is capturing memories. Whether those memories are of an event, special occasion or just a special moment you want to remember forever; photography is that mental picture you can share with others.
Photography, for me, is a release. It is an opportunity to step away from the stressors of every day life and look at the world through a new, fresh perspective.
