White Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn Bark

white chocolate peppermint popcorn

Many of us have seen the ideas for Peppermint Popcorn Bark floating around in Pinterest land, one of my favorites is found on Plain Chicken.  I saw someone make this quite a while ago and knew that I would be using it for gifts this year.  I decided to make it and box it up for the teacher’s at my son’s preschool.

It is extremely easy to make which makes it great if you have older kids as well because they can help!

Many recipes call for Peppermint Oil; however, I thought the peppermint candy canes would be enough flavoring which they were for me.  So, I was happy that I did not add any additional peppermint oil; however, if you want a stronger flavor by all means add away!

  1. I am planning on making this….but I think I will try adding some red sprinkles to “jazz it up”. Probably will sprinkle them on immediately after adding the white chocolate. I got some of this at the MSQ Christmas party the other night…delicious!!!!

  2. Oh my gosh…this sounds amazing! Totally going to try it. New follower from the blog hop =)

  3. I am torn between peppermint oil and candy peppermint. When I ate it for the first time, I think it was made with oil because I did not see the peppermint chunks. I think that made it especially yummy because of the mint surprise!

  4. What kind of popcorn did you use? I plan on making this for my boy’s teachers too

  5. We make a similar version…but have never used peppermint. Yum!

  1. [...] Quick, can you name a sweet, addictive holiday gift with only 3 ingredients? If you said white chocolate peppermint popcorn bark, then I guess it’s true that great minds think alike. You just pop some popcorn, sprinkle bits of candy cane on top, then drizzle with melted white chocolate and pop in the fridge. If you can think of anything easier than that, please let me know!
