Sunbutter Banana Smoothie

I have been trying to really watch my diet especially my protein and snacks.  One that I knew I had to try was a Sunbutter Banana Smoothie, they are rich in protein and delicious!  Plus, my toddler is happy to have one of these too.

Remember if you do not have peanut allergies, replace the Sunbutter with Peanut Butter for the same great taste.  I also found that this recipe makes the Sunbutter the stronger taste, if you want the banana to be stronger add an extra banana.

If you freeze very ripe bananas (either whole in the peel, or peel and slice – my preferred method as I don’t like trying to slice frozen banana and usually don’t give myself the few minutes of extra time for them to thaw just enough to make it easier) then you don’t even need ice!

Also if you are a chocolate lover as I am a tablespoon of cocoa powder is a great addition.

Sometimes I also add ground cinnamon or vanilla extract.
