Do you ever have days where you just want a simple, basic recipe with a hint of flavor? I was having one of those days when I made this. The result? It made all my taste buds fill with delight at the wonderful taste.
Ingredients:
- 1 Whole Chicken Fryer
- 1/2 Cup Lemon Juice
- 2 Tsp Lemon Pepper
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
Directions:
Using a 4 qt crock pot, I placed the fryer in the crock pot pouring the lemon juice over it. If when cooking it appears to need more liquid add another 1/2 cup lemon juice.
I added 1 Tsp of Lemon Pepper to each side of the fryer. I followed this by adding 1/4 Tsp of Garlic Powder and a 1/4 tsp of onion powder to each side of the fryer as well. I made sure that the fryer was covered with the seasoning. If you have a larger fryer you may need to adjust the seasoning amounts.
This will cook on low for 4-5 hours, serving this with steamed veggies made for the perfect dinner!
Enjoy this crock pot dish and the incredible smell that will be drifting through your home!

That sounds delicious! I love lemon and lemon-pepper seasoning with tuna, too!
In the summertime, I put a little mayo, then a layer of tuna from a can on wheat bread. Then I squeeze a little lemon juice over the tuna and sprinkle on some lemon-pepper seasoning. I top that with alfalfa sprouts and fresh lettuce. YUM! Such a light, fresh taste for summer! I am about READY for summer, too!
