Friday Favorite: Sweet Hawaiian Pizza

As I mentioned in one of my first recipes on my site, I love Hawaiian Pizza.  It is my favorite kind of pizza, which is exactly why it is this week’s Friday Favorite!  Recently, I was looking through recipes on the King’s Hawaiian website and landed on this King’s Hawaiian Pizza.

After viewing this recipe, I thought I should try the Hawaiian Style pizza again using this same method.

Ingredients:

1 King’s Hawaiian Sweet Bread Loaf
1 Cup Pizza Sauce
1/2 Cup Pineapple Chunks
12 Slices of Canadian Bacon
2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Preheat oven to 400*.

I started this off by cutting the bread in half.  I actually used both halves so that I could make 2 pizza’s.  I spread 1/4 cup of pizza sauce on each pizza.  Then, I placed 1/4 cup pineapple chunks on each and equal slices of Canadian bacon.  Use 1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese to top each pizza.  These will bake in the oven for 10 minutes on a greased cookie sheet.

The original recipe suggest 4 servings, however, we used both halves of the bread loaf and were able to cut it into 6 pieces making for a total of 12 small slices of pizza.

This was a sweet twist to Hawaiian Pizza and very tasty!  Enjoy this week’s Friday Favorite!
