I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas!  I thought I would take today to post about a ‘light’ recipe after all the food I’m sure we all had the last few days.

I was recently given a bread machine, which has opened more doors to new recipes.  For the last several weeks I have been trying to find a good wheat bread recipe.  I have probably made at least 5-10 loaves of bread with my bread machine and each one ended up in the trash!  They were all either too hard or lacked flavor.

I finally found one though that I have fallen in love with.  It’s a Taste of Home recipe, Bread Machine Wheat Bread.

This bread had a nice crunch on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside.  This recipe is staying on my list and I will probably use it as a base recipe to create many more breads with my machine.

Serve this bread with a little bit of apple butter and makes the perfect treat, even for those picky toddler eaters!
