I saw a recipe for Sweet Potato Fries and could not wait to try it, I thought they sounded great with burgers. I was right, they were amazing, but I did not use the recipe and I turned them into ‘bites’ instead!
Ingredients:
- To make the burgers, you will need:
- 1 lb of Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Garlic Salt
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
Directions:
I mixed this in a large bowl and made the hamburger patties, cooking them on medium heat in a large skillet. I was able to make 4 large hamburgers, if you do smaller ones you could easily make 6 with this recipe.
Making the sweet potato bites is very simple. I used 2 large, peeled sweet potatoes, and I sliced them lengthwise down the middle and then sliced them in small bite size pieces. On a large cookie sheet, spray with non stick spray. Then, I used 4 Tbsp of Olive Oil and poured over the potato bites. I sprinkled 1 Tsp of Garlic Salt and 1 Tsp of Garlic Powder over them and baked in the oven on 400* for 30 minutes. I topped them off with a little parsley after they were baked. These were like candy for me, I could have eaten all of them! I decided to do bites because they were much more toddler friendly.
Enjoy this delicious dish!
