This recipe was given to me by a co-worker several years ago, when my husband and I had just been married.
It’s an easy twist to Alfredo sauce and makes it much healthier!!
Ingredients:
- 1 16oz Box of Penne Pasta
- 1 Block of Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
- 1 Tbsp of Butter
- 1/4 Cup of Milk
- 1 Tsp Garlic Salt
Directions:
Boil pasta according to package in a large stock pot.
Once drained, turn burner to low and then put the cream cheese, butter, and milk in the pot. Start stirring this up until it is a smooth sauce.
Mix the noodles in with the white sauce and then add the garlic salt. I usually use 1 Tsp; however, I would add as much as you prefer.
This is a perfect base pasta and white sauce that you can add a wide range of foods to. I typically use crumbled bacon bits, which I did the night that I made this. This is also good with chicken and frozen peas mixed in to make it a complete meal.

That sounds yummy! My youngest loves Alfredo, I’ll be adding this to our menu plan next month! Thanks for sharing!

I love this one, I like just about anything with garlic!
I make a white pizza using a jar of Alfredo sauce, precooked chicken, and a variety of white cheeses–I think this sauce would be perfect for that!
That sounds so good!!! Do you use a homemade pizza crust or a store bought crust? I’m going to have to try that!
