My husband loves BBQ beans, so I thought I’d take it up a bit and fix my own!
Slow Cooker BBQ Bacon Beans
Ingredients:
- 2 15.5oz Cans of Baked Beans
- 1 Cup of BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
- 8 Slices of Bacon
- 1 Tsp of Mustard
Directions:
I put 4 slices of bacon on the bottom of the slow cooker, then I poured the beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and mustard on top and mixed it up. I placed the remaining bacon on top and cooked on low for 4 hours.

To go with this dish, I cooked canned home-style biscuits in the oven and boiled sweet corn. This is a simple and affordable meal.

Do you think it would work the same with beef bacon? Looks delish!
Yes, I think it would. I use Turkey Bacon a lot with this and it seems to work fine too…so I think beef, pork, or turkey would work well.

Hi! Thank you for the tips and I am especially loving the slow cooker recipes, b/c I am gone at work all day. Does anyone have any tips if I leave at 6:30 in the morning and I don’t get home until 7? I worry it will be overcooked, as long as I am gone? Also, do use the easy clean up liners for all of these recipes? I have never tried them before and was curious if they were worth the cost?
