This is a simple meatloaf recipe that my mom always made while I was growing up.
Meatloaf
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs of Ground Beef
- 1 16oz Jar of Spaghetti Sauce
- 4 Egg Whites
- 1 Cup of Oatmeal
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375*.
In a bowl, mix the beef with the spaghetti sauce (3/4 of the jar), egg whites, and oatmeal.
I use a foil lined baking dish and then place the meat on it to form the loaf. Then, I pour the remaining sauce over the top of the loaf.
This will bake in the oven for 45 minutes or until fully cooked.
I added sliced potatoes, which I coated with olive oil and garlic powder and baked in the oven for 45 minutes along with the meatloaf. Then, I added some frozen peas.

This was a simple, home style dish for the whole family!

I love meatloaf! Looks easy and yummy. My two requirements. =)
It’s very easy, the only way I can fix anything…easy!
The instructions don’t indicate what the temperature of the oven should be. What’s your recommendation? I ended up winging it last night when I made this and it turned out fine, just curious what you think!
Oh my goodness! I am so sorry, I cook this at 375* for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Apparently the ‘Preheat oven to 375*’ was cut off when I converted to Ziplist format! Thank you SO much for saying something!
No worries. I love your blog. It’s giving me the confidence to start attempting things besides pasta.
