Farmer’s Market

I’ll start this post by saying, I do not get along with nature. I can honestly say I will probably never have my own garden. My husband may, but it will be his garden, not mine. I love to go outside and take walks or go to the park, but digging in the dirt and planting is not my thing. In saying this, I still love fresh fruits and veggies!

I decided to opt for the next best thing, Broken Arrow Farmer’s Market! My husband and I love fresh produce and with all the new meals I will be making in the near future, I needed a lot of fresh veggies. We took a trip last Saturday to the farmer’s market and were amazed at the great finds and deals that we found.

We felt that most of the prices were really reasonable as we were able to get large quantities of veggies for under $3 each. We ended up spending a total of $18 and coming home with a fridge full of fruits and veggies! We purchased several varieties of peppers, green onions, cucumbers, squash, peaches, new potatoes, and green beans. I am looking forward to the wonderful foods I’ll be cooking using these fresh, home grown veggies.

The farmer’s market offers a great variety of produce as well as items that you will not find anywhere else. I encourage you to find a farmer’s market in your area and take part in giving back to your local growers as well as enjoying fresh produce! We will now be regulars at our local farmer’s market.

We are blessed by those who truly do enjoy gardening, and appreciate their gift and passion!
