Start the summer with a picnic and these 10 Picnic Salad Recipes!
Do you have summer picnics? We have several! We like to do them with just our own family on relaxing evenings at home but also with friends too. We typically combine it with a cookout and grill meats and then everyone brings sides. My favorite right up there with desserts are picnic salads.
From potato salads to fruit salads, I love them all! I decided to share this Easy Fruit Salad today that combines fresh produce. It’s simple to make this with what you have on hand plus delicious watermelon, then I simply top it with cheese to give it another element. Picnic salads do not have to be complicated at all, I think that’s what makes them so great. My husband loves them with fresh fruits and veggies straight from the garden. Those are some of my favorites as well.
I had one last year that was an egg salad that used whole eggs as part of it too as in they were hard-boiled and then circled the salad. I really need to track down that recipe because I can’t stop thinking about how good it was! Maybe this year I will attempt to recreate it.
Do you have a favorite picnic salad recipe? I’d love to hear what some of your favorites are. In the meantime, pick a few of these to try this summer. I have a feeling you won’t be disappointed!
